Sucky website

I wonder when theSUN will finally get their website to work properly. It's so bloody irritating. And my days of grabbing a hard copy from uni are almost coming to an end. I know they still distribute 'em at tons of other places but it's too 'first come first served'. Kiasu-ness at full display. A piece of advice to theSUN... Get your website designers to WORK.

Waiting for my Rock God

Stuffed my belly full of cheap sushi, in hopes of not going to bed early. Having a slight headache + cold right now. So I'm going through my notes while listening to Snow Patrol and sipping on my hot cuppa weed Chamomile tea (Note: Going through. Not memorizing 'cause it doesn't serve much purpose and my mind's failing me lately). Still feel okay, despite the crappy mood and situation I'm in.

The songs make me yearn more for my own emotionally-tortured, creatively-anguished, sexy-messed up rock 'n roll lover. How can guys who write such deep love songs end up dedicating them to failed relationships? Maybe it's the bitches. As I was telling Wai Quan, 'Sex and the City' came along and brainwashed every pussy in town. Now all we care about are the latest Manolo Blahniks and whether our waistline is as small as the waistline of the chihuahua next door.

If the owner had the fugly dog because Paris Hilton had one too, I'm gonna bitchslap 'em til tears fall. Firstly, chihuahuas are fugly. They look like aliens disguised as mini dogs. Maybe they were aliens at one time. They came down to earth and mistook dogs as Earth's leaders, so they took the form of dogs, with hopes of conquering Planet Earth. By the time they realized their mistake, it was already too late. Secondly, Paris Hilton as inspiration? Come on!

Back to the subject of men... I find most women I know of late, not believing in 'Happily Ever After' anymore. Has the world changed that drastically? What happened to all the years of us reading Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid and happy friends? Overpowered by the pop culture of promiscuity? I guess so. I wonder if I'm Cinderella or Carrie Bradshaw. Not that I was a big fan of that show. It was just too popular for me to ignore. So I know a thing or two. Maybe I'm a little bit of both. 'Cause I do cook and clean like Cinderella, but kinda uncertain about guys like Carrie. Maybe I'll only know when I find the right guy. SA at the moment. So no answers yet. Any takers? Only single, healthy, good, responsible, attractive, smart guys need apply.

What's his real occupation?

Couple held over their three sons’ deaths

KUALA LUMPUR: A couple has been detained to assist police investigations into the deaths of their three sons.
Tour guide Seah Weng Chong and his wife Kau Mei Lin, both 38, were found with their wrists slashed at their Desa Sri Puteri flat on Friday, near the bodies of their children – Siew Tong, eight, Siew Mun, 10, and Siew Cheung, 12.

A bottle of bleach and a cooking gas cylinder with a punctured tube were inside the bedroom where the bodies were found.

The couple are presently recuperating at Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Cheras.

A source said police recorded statements from them yesterday.

The couple, he added, had been remanded until Dec 7.

At the hospital, Seah, who kept asking police personnel and nurses about his wife's condition, appeared calm while Kau looked tired.

According to neighbours, loan sharks had been coming to the family's home over the last few days.

Even yesterday morning, two men, believed to be debt collectors, had gone in search for Seah at the flat. They left after being told of the family's tragedy.

Kau's sister, who lived just opposite, said she heard noises from the corridor at about 2.30am on Friday.

“They sounded like they came to collect debts. They even threw stones into my sister's house and broke the windows.

“I was too scared to open the door. When I heard no response from my sister's home, I assumed that they were not home and did not do anything,” she said, adding that the men left soon after.

Seah's mother went to the mortuary at about 2.45pm yesterday to see the bodies of her grandchildren but her wish was turned down due to some documentation problems.

She said her son did not tell her of any financial difficulty.

Meanwhile, a colleague, who did not want to be named, said Seah had not received any tour guiding assignments for the last three months.

“Business at the company has been bad, so there's no job for Seah. This means his income has dropped quite a bit.
“Seah told me that he had borrowed money from loan sharks in May but I don't know how much,” he said.

He's a tour guide meh? Why are (apparently) Chinese newspapers reporting him as a bus driver? I've got no links to those sites 'cause I can't read Chinese. But I got the feedback from Chinese newspaper readers, i.e. my mom and aunts. Someone's not getting their facts right... Just dunno who.

Cyber law mulled to block lies in blogs

BY HAH FOONG LIAN

SITIAWAN: Registering bloggers may be a “stricter” way to stop cyberspace writers from spreading disharmony and lies.

Acknowledging that the registration of bloggers was a difficult task, Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Kong Cho Ha said that it needed the cooperation of other countries.

Kong said: “We need to have stricter cyber laws to prevent these bloggers from disseminating disharmony, chaos, seditious material and lies.

“We are talking about creating cyber laws to control those who misuse the Internet,” he added.
Kong noted that the high number of bloggers in the country was a good development if they used the Internet constructively.

However, he said, some of them would put up sensational or controversial articles or images to attract readers to their blogs.

“We want our bloggers to be responsible, to keep within the rules and not put up seditious articles that can create disharmony and chaos,” he said.

Citing the example of the recent picture of Gombak MP Datuk Dr Rahman Ismail and Senator Datin Paduka Norhayati Onn, Kong said it reflected the irresponsible acts of some bloggers.

“Now we have cyber laws to check such misuse but the laws need to change to keep up with the times.

“This is because technology changes faster than our laws,” he said yesterday after opening the inaugural computer fair at Dewan Merdeka in Seri Manjung, near here.

The fair was organised by the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia (Pikom).

So we gotta be more careful now?

I'm in deep SHIT

I'm supposed to be pouring all over my notes, right? Noooo... I had to follow mom out today. Even when she's just out to Kepong. Lame. But I had to. 'Cause if I didn't, I wouldn't have refilled my fridge. I couldn't have hoped on my mom to get the groceries... She memang tak boleh harap. Now I'm happy. 'Cause there's lots of lemons for me to squeeze, sweet potatoes for me to eat (and then fart) and fruits aplenty! But broke. Not that I used my own money to buy all the stuff. I even had to borrow moolah from mom to get that something for that someone. It's 'cause my fucking cheque from fucked up Touch Point is not cashed yet. What's wrong with my ID? Am I actually an illegal immigrant that they won't allow the money to go through? CB.

I'm so tired. Didn't sleep well last night. I kinda feel like studying but I wanna sleep. So how?

Photographing Superman

This is so cool:

Having dreams to be a top photographer eh? Try your hands at this game. Lol. I'm proud to say I did well and would impress the hell out of my editor.

Shopped, but didn't drop

Was late for my shopping date with Amy, but managed to scurry my ass there as quickly as possible. It was quite a daunting task. You see, I wore a skirt today. It wasn't very sufficient in length. So I walked out to the bus stop like I was in a walkathon, couldn't even run when I saw the mini bus coming. But I still managed to outwalk the bus and got on it. Sat next to this hairy Bangla fella and accidents happened. (Note: The usage of plural grammar in the last sentence). Wish I had antiseptic wipes in my bag when I needed 'em. Really did at that time. After reaching the KTM station, the train arrived right after I bought my ticket. Forgot that I needed a two-way ticket, but fuck that. Walkathon-ed up and down the pedestrian bridge and once again managed to get onto the train. This really annoys me; I don't get why the bloody train has to stall everytime it reaches that condominium in between Seputeh and Midvalley. What's wrong with the train drivers? There's no naked hot chick sunbathing beside the swimming pool, so why must they stop there everytime? It's a miracle on a day they don't stall at that spot.

My poor sidekick was tortured by bright green shirts, and texted for my salvation. After reaching, we couldn't decide on what to have for lunch, so I called the shots to satisfy my last night's sudden weird craving for fajitas and brownies.

Can you blame me?

Bought the stuffs I wanted, and a little more. French Connection was having a sale... Couldn't help myself!! Got two really cool shirts. Nearly lost one-half of my earings at the boutique but luckily it was just waiting for me to pick it up from the floor. Also got this damn cun leather belt from Edmunser. Sales are great. That's when bargainers like myself get to buy nice stuff, at lower prices. Me loves Sales.

Since we only get last season's clothes during sales period, I got inspired to create my take on French Connection's last season's Fashion vs. Style ads with my new possessions.

Midvalley was filled with Christmas stuff. The decorations were nuts! The gingerbread houses in the Centre Court area were so cuuuuuute... The towering Christmas trees had candies all over 'em, and even the barriers to block the crowd from getting up to the gingerbread stage were strings of candies. But of course, they were all fake lar! Had to hunt for some deco thingy for mom so I went into Metrojaya. You won't usually find me in there. The decos in that place was also crazee!! They had themed Christmas trees. Some were those expensive imported real trees and some were decorated with baguette and also peacock feathers. Talk about creativity eh? Didn't dare to take pictures in the place lest I'd get ushered out by the security. And can't risk getting my camera confiscated. It's lousy, but it's the only one I've got now. So gingerbread house and tree will have to do.

Seems like I had a nice day. It was. Despite us having to cram into Starbucks, sitting on dirty chairs with a dirty table. Lazy new generation baristas... Managed to block the annoying fact that Jojo Struys was sitting right outside our table too. But I'm feeling empty right now. Could it be the feeling of guilt kicking in? Gosh... It's finally here. Good... I can start reading the damn notes. Can't wait for the end to actually come, but yet a part of me doesn't wanna let go. It gets hard sometimes to suck it all in. The feeling is overwhelming. Multiple feelings aside, the fear of unemployment is still very much in my veins. Sad... Sad... Sad...

The day when She-Devils are unleashed

It's that time of the year again... The nation-wide sales are back!! Shoppers come united on this day and spend money they should be saving for savings/emergencies. That includes me. Well... I don't have that much of a fortune to waste anyway and I AM a spendthrift. So I'm just gonna head to Midvalley to get my usual stock of facial and eye masks, plus some trendy + affordable stuff. I need a leather belt. I figure they'd look cool. I wanna look cool, so... Having one would make me look cool, right? Let's see if there's anything else I could add into my miserable but somehow full wardrobe. Oh... Let's not forget the weed tea. It's actually Chamomile (Tazo tea) from Starbucks but I call it the weed tea 'cause it knocks me off like weed. Not that I've smoked weed before. I've never even had a ciggie. Sad eh? No, I don't think so. I think smokers are THE sad people. They practically burn their money away, at the same time rotting their poor little, helpless lungs... And those of people around them. Not to mention the bad breath, yellow teeth, etc, etc. Shame on you, smokers!

I should be sleeping, but I just got this new blog running. Kinda proud of myself... Considering the dwarf amount of IT knowledge I have. So I'll head to dreamland now, after the usual cleansing ritual. No... Not the new-age spiritual shit. The usual teeth-brushing and face-cleansing ler! I'll decorate my blog with more stuff as I discover new knowledges along the way. It's gonna be like decorating my own Christmas tree. A compensation for not having the privilege to celebrate a commercialized special day. But then again, nothing beats the good ol' CNY. Few more months to go... Can't wait for the angpows and fattening food. Why is my mind zoomed to such distance? Come back, come back!

I'll arm myself with my stoopid camera to see if there's anything interesting to capture on the first day of the terrifying sales. If there's nothing much, I'll probably just camwhore. Muahahahaha...
